Card Catalog, but with everything on the PC, the old card files are a thing of the past

    Two words; CArd CAtalog.
    My local library no longer has one in active service. They kept only one bank of the many banks of card drawers in the lobby when they automated the system a number of years ago. Sigh… I really LIKED looking up things in the cards. It just isn’t the same to use a computer instead of flipping through the cards…

    Card Catalogue, its not that old fashioned, ever hear of the Dewie decimal system? I remember you could look up books by author, subject and title

    Only in Most libraries these days … the Card Catalog
    is on a computer….
