Question: What was the major fashion trends for women during the Big Band Era? Was polka dots one?
I have a party to go to and the theme is the Big Band Era (1935-1945) but I have no idea what i should wear that would fit into the theme. people have said that polka dots were a trend, but i am not sure. i need something i can wear that would not be too hard to find or will look really out of place. Please help me!

I don’t think polka dots became big until like the late 40′s.

Yeah, I’m sure polka dots became popular towards the 50s, in the late 40s. I typed in “1940 fashion” in a search for you and I found an idea..it’s a doll, but still! lol It’s an idea
