What To Wear To A Fashion Shop Interview?

December 27th, 2009

I have an interview in Topshop and don’t know what to wear! They said don’t wear a suit – that’s all!!
Would it be really bad taste to wear something that they sell? Could I accessorize with things that the shop sells?
Thankss… :)

its not bad to wear something from there… as long as everything your wearing isn’t from there. I think they would like it if you did…

Is the interview in the actual store? If it is, arrive early and browse the store til you see something you like then ask one of the assistants if you can try it on. Make sure to tuck the label inside then proceed to your interview. When you have finished you can hand it back to the assistant and say something like “It’s not really my color”

All brown, or all navy or all dark gery. Whochever works better for your skin tone. All black is too harsh and also can look tacky if the tailoring is not 100% perfect.
Then add accessories: a bag, jewellery- many many chains are really in at the mo. And shoes, plain but very on trend.
Accessories will do alot to bring you up to date. You need to express your outlook and personality, but not so its too OTT and take away from who you are and what you are trying to say in the interview.
