The usual leopard skins or sometimes the men manage to capture a mountain Lion and the women then use these skins , mountain lions are very difficult to capture so these skins are viewed as the couture products , you know the whole supply and demand thing…
Last year Gorilla skin underwear was the inn thing..

As for street-wear… it’s difficult to say because we are such a multi-cultural city! I can only speak about people from the circles in which I move. I would label our styles as ‘authentic rock’. Meaning it has a rock&roll feel but not necessarily the leather and studs cliche. I see a lot of guys with long hair, skinny jeans, check shirts or printed tees and tattoos. Girls wear leggings with everything as well as various styles of boots, tunics, leather jackets and dress-style trench coats.

The bokdrolletjie necklaces are hot this summer. On the runway, it is a flighty flimsy piece of ostrich feathers and porcupine quills. Pricklingly exciting to wear.
