I’m 16, and I’m from the UK. I’m applying for a job at Topshop because I’m into fashion etc. My dream job is a fashion photographer, so to get started in this, I was wondering if, say I offered my photography services to small local shops, if they’d ever consider hiring me (despite me not having done shoots for magazines). Just for the photos they display in their windows, advertisements etc. For that they have to hire local photographers, unless it’s a large branch (like Topshop) then they must hire a photographer in one area and just use the same pictures all over in all the different branches. I know it’s a weird question, but has anyone ever done this? Do you think any shops would be willing to hire me as a freelance photographer for this?

I’ve been trying to go job hunting and I’ve been handing out CVs to New Look, Game and Superdrug in Crystal Peaks, Sheffield.
But I’m worried that they don’t hire students with no retail experience.
Can any of you help me please?
