Living near the shopping district, most cheap places were like boutiques next to big brand name shops like Vivienne Westwood and Sexy Dynamite London. What’s very popular in Japan among high school age girls (and boys!) right now, is called “furugi.” It literally means “old clothes.” This is going to thrift shops, wholesale shops, and altering your own old clothes to make cool outfits. Baggy clothes are also in. (And I mean very baggy. T-shirt dresses are a thing.) Shimamura is also a fairly popular store. It sells all sizes of clothing, and usually has what’s in fashion at the time, and it’s very cheap. Japanese girls like to make their own additions to add to clothes as well.
As far as sites that ship to the UK, I’m afraid the popular shops that would provide that kind of service are very expensive. (IE: Lolita brands, punk brands, Vivienne Westwood, Sexy Dynamite London, Super Lovers, etc.)
