In the UK, if a shop has been given licence to run a ‘fashion shop’, can you also start selling music CDs etc from that same shop in parallel to running a fashion shop?
I live above such a shop and the constant music being played in it is making my life hell. And they’re very aggressive when we ask them to stop the music. They say it’s absolutely necessary for them to play the music in order to showcase the music they are selling.
The local council doesn’t seem to want to look into it. So I want to know if the shopkeepers are actually breaking the law and what I could do now.
Protest out front of the store with a picket sign and get your friends to join you and scare off their customers.
